At Advantage Kia we truly are committed to customer satisfaction and are constantly evaluating our staff and processes to make them better. There are no aftermarket products or warranties that are required as a condition of sale. The customer can purchase any of our vehicles for the advertised... price. We have investigated the customers account of what transpired and although we cannot corroborate her claims, we have taken the opportunity to utilize her complaint as a training tool to avoid any potential miscommunication.

[redacted] purchased a vehicle from our dealership on June 24, 2017. McGrath Arlington Kia paid the full amount of $2431.10 due to the Louisiana even though we under collected tax from Mr. [redacted] . We collect $1467.34 from the customer. His license plates have been registered in Louisiana... because his drivers license and paperwork showed proof of residence in the state of Louisiana. Mr. [redacted] 's license plates are being held at the Louisiana DMV for him to pick up. If he would like to have his plates mailed he must personally contact the Louisiana DMV to have them sent to the address of his choosing. Mr. [redacted] can them transfer his registration to Illinois when he obtains proof of residency in the state of Illinois. He can contact the Louisiana DMV at (225) [redacted]

At Advantage Kia, we truly are committed to customer satisfaction and are constantly evaluating our process and staff to make them betterWe discussed the particular details surrounding Mr [redacted] 's claims with our staff and both the salesperson involved and the manager on duty stated that the customer started off on a new vehicle and eventually landed on a pre-driven vehicle, which may have led to his confusionThey both confirmed that at no point did anyone from our staff identify the vehicle in question as being an AWDMr [redacted] had looked at four different models both new and pre-driven and his final vehicle selection was a FWD pre-driven Sorento, which it was listed as being on our website that he did look atAlthough it was not our fault that the customer selected the FWD Sorento we invited him to come back in after he complained about his purchase and offered to trade him out of his vehicle for a comparable AWD Sorento for the difference in price between the twoMr [redacted] declined our offer specifically stating that he liked his current vehicle betterWe also offered Mr [redacted] a $in dealership service credit for any future repairs as a one time gesture of customer goodwill, which he also declined

We gave Mr [redacted] an offer to upgrade him from the car he purchased into another comparable vehicle that was AWD and only pay the difference between the two vehicles values, which he declined stating that the vehicle he purchased was in better condition than the AWD modelWe then offered Mr [redacted] the option of a $in service credit which he also declinedWe believe that we have made a legitimate offer to the customer in an attempt to come to a compromise, although we stand by the fact that we did nothing wrong in this matter

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *** and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me contingent on the cancellation form being sent to me via fax or email (I have provided the fax # and email address to them) so that I do not have to go in to the dealership; and also contingent on receiving the full refund of $and having the hole repaired at their cost. The damage occurred prior to delivery of said vehicle and was obscured under their paper mat. Pictures of said damage were sent to the salesman, *** *** per his request the day after purchase.

I would first like to point out that this complaint was not filed by *** ***, it was filed by a relative that was not present at time of deliveryMs*** came into our dealership and attempted to lease a new Kia Soul; however based on her credit rating she did not qualifyWe worked on trying
to secure a loan and Ms*** left and told us to contact her when and if we were able to get her approvedWe contacted the bank and they denied her on a lease; however they approved her on a pre-driven Kia Soul that only had milesWe called her back into the dealership, showed her the car and she agreed to the terms and signed the contractThe following Monday after her initial purchase date, we called her back in because we were able to secure a better rate which lowered her payment and she left completely satisfiedWe told her about the Revdex.com complaint and she had no idea it was filedShe went onto the website and tried to remove it and was unable to since she was not the person that filed itWe would like this complaint to be removed from our records since it was not filed by the customer

I am rejecting this response because: My daughter who typed this, did so with my knowledge and encouragement and was with me on June 11, in the morning, at the dealerWe told them to contact me and my daughter/son-in-law if anything changed on the lease ideaThey were supposed to contact us both because I needed help with thisThey were told that my daughter and son in law would be tied up for a few hours that afternoon when they had been thereI am on a lot of medicine for many ailments including mental health issues and that is why I needed a family member helping meKia said to come back to the store because they had an ideaThey kept bouncing me around from person to person and I was getting tired and more confusedI just wanted to leave so I did what the man saidI could not see what they were having me sign so the salesman made dots and said I should just sign thereWhen my other daughter went back with me the next business day, they said that they could lower my monthly payment but wouldn't give me my car back and take back this car which is what was desiredI am on Social Security and on a very limited income and do not understand this car stuffThe salesman did not even give me the paper saying that they owed me $for my carThey added it in when my other daughter told them on that Monday, June The dealership tried to convince us to write a rebuttal or delete our original complain with the Revdex.com in exchange for lowering my monthly payment because they said they tried to help me so I have to help themThey refused to cancel the contract

At Advantage Kia we are truly committed to customer service and we are constantly evaluating our staff and processes for ways to make them betterWe have reviewed the customers initial paperwork and the rustproofing package is clearly denoted and also on her final contract as a separate line item
If she has not had the rustproofing package installed she is eligible for a full refundShe will simply have to sign a cancellation formWe are also willing to inspect the hole in her carpet and offer a repair of said item if it happened prior to delivery dateWe have multiple online pictures that will show the condition at time of saleThe other unthinkable acts are both unfortunate and irresponsible to accuse a business of committing and include in this complaint

The customer purchased the vehicle from Advantage Kia and was very aware of the terms and conditions of her sale; however her children weren't happy with the fact that she was buying a used car instead of new oneWe were able to get better financing terms and lowered her payments from her original contractHer other daughter *** came in with her and also went over the terms and conditions on her second visitWe do not take cars back once we have made an agreement and are able to procure financing at the agreed upon termsWe would be more than happy to review the contract and the deal she received with all of her family members

We then offered Mr. [redacted] the option of a $200 in service credit which he also declined. We believe that we have made a legitimate offer to the customer in an attempt to come to a compromise, although we stand by the fact that we did nothing wrong in this matter.

I am rejecting this response because:This statement from the dealership is only partially true. They said they would "allow me" to trade in my vehicle that I just bought and that I could buy another vehicle from them. I specifically asked their salesman, [redacted] on 8/27/16 if it would just be the difference between the price of the two vehicles. He put me on hold and after speaking to the manager he said it would "definitely be more than the difference between the two vehicles". They did offer me a credit of an unspecified amount for their service department. I have absolutely no intention of ever spending another penny at this dealership as they have done nothing but lie and deceive from the moment I stepped into their business. An agreement is unlikely with this business because they are completely untrustworthy. At this point I would like to proceed with arbitration. Thank you.
