{"id":2422,"date":"2018-06-20T22:56:50","date_gmt":"2018-06-21T02:56:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.simplyvoting.com\/enhancements-to-kiosk-voting\/"},"modified":"2025-11-24T05:42:19","modified_gmt":"2025-11-24T10:42:19","slug":"enhancements-to-kiosk-voting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.simplyvoting.com\/enhancements-to-kiosk-voting\/","title":{"rendered":"Enhancements to Kiosk Voting"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are pleased to announce an enhancement to our existing <strong>Kiosk Voting<\/strong> feature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.simplyvoting.com\/\">Kiosk voting<\/a>, for those who are unfamiliar with this type of voting, is in-person online voting where voters line up in queues typically and vote from communal devices &#8212; such as at an Annual General Meeting, or perhaps at your organization&#8217;s headquarters or branch offices, or some other designated in-person voting location. Kiosk voting often occurs alongside standard remote online voting, but it can also occur in place of any remote online voting too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Inside of your <strong>Election Manager<\/strong> account, at the bottom of the <strong>Settings <\/strong>page, you will find a revamped <strong>Kiosk Voting Website<\/strong> section. Like before, you can still manage the &#8220;success text&#8221; for all kiosks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now instead of having a specific kiosk voting URL, to activate and launch a kiosk there is a new <strong>Activate Kiosk<\/strong> button. This enhancement may seem very minor at first-glance, but we&#8217;ve drastically increased the security of your kiosks through allowing total control of what devices are (and thus are not) configured for kiosk voting by election administrators.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"527\" src=\"https:\/\/www.simplyvoting.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Blog-Post-Kiosk-snapshot-768x527-1-1.webp\" alt=\"Kiosk voting website\" class=\"wp-image-4542\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.simplyvoting.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Blog-Post-Kiosk-snapshot-768x527-1-1.webp 768w, https:\/\/www.simplyvoting.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Blog-Post-Kiosk-snapshot-768x527-1-1-300x206.webp 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>As part of our feature enhancement, we&#8217;ve also developed and published a new <strong>Kiosk Voting Guide<\/strong>, available on the <a href=\"https:\/\/help.simplyvoting.com\/v1\/en?_gl=1*19o62e8*_gcl_au*ODg2NDc4NDY5LjE3MzI1MzExNDY.*_ga*MTY5MTM5MjAyOS4xNzI0Njk4MzQ3*_ga_SG8JTHSVVJ*MTczMjcwMjAxNy4xMjIuMS4xNzMyNzAyMDM0LjQzLjAuNzc5NDM3MTY.\"><strong>Help<\/strong> page,<\/a> to better guide customers through setup and maintenance of voting kiosks.
