We want to ensure that everyone\u2019s expectations and responsibilities are clearly defined.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since Simply Voting&#8217;s inception, we have been committed to data security and privacy as we believe that both are critical subjects in today\u2019s world. As you have likely seen over the last few months, many companies and organizations have been working to update their Privacy Policies and Terms of Service. It&#8217;s important to demonstrate their commitment to these subjects as well as to demonstrate their adherence to recently enacted regulations like the<a href=\"https:\/\/gdpr-info.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> European Union\u2019s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>GDPR compliance<\/strong><br>We are committed to complying with the GDPR and partnering with other businesses that share our commitment to privacy. We will continue to make changes to our policies and practices to protect your privacy and ensure ongoing compliance with the GDPR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Privacy Policy update<br><\/strong>Our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.simplyvoting.com\/privacy-policy\/\">Privacy Policy<\/a> has been updated with a section to explain Simply Voting\u2019s processing of data and other details in line with GDPR. Furthermore, our Privacy Policy has been updated to better differentiate between:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the company website and voting system<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>as well as between company website visitors, customers, and voters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Terms of Service update<br><\/strong>With respect to the GDPR, we have updated our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.simplyvoting.com\/terms-of-service\/\">Terms of Service<\/a> to incorporate a <a href=\"\/data-processing-addendum\/\">Data Processing Addendum<\/a> (\u201cDPA\u201d). EU Customers who use our services do not need to execute a separate DPA with Simply Voting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We have also updated our Terms of Service to balance a few issues in favour of the customer, and added new sections to elaborate on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Our procedure for reporting system failures and security breaches;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Our security responsibilities;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Our confidentiality responsibilities;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Customer security responsibilities; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Customer confidentiality responsibilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In summary, our commitment to security and privacy remains strong. Whether you are prospective customer, an existing customer, or a voter; Simply Voting is dedicated to fully protecting your data and personal information. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Customers with offline or customized agreements<br><\/strong>Please email <a href=\"mailto:info@simplyvoting.com\">info@simplyvoting.com<\/a> in order to receive and review a new Memorandum of Agreement (MoA).
